S-tier coffee shop in Vancouver. The staff member was enthusiastic and clearly knowledgeable. Under her guidance, I picked a light roast Ethiopia bean. There was a small surcharge for the Ethiopia bean, which was 100% worth it. Wonderful fruitiness and low acidity. She recommended the cortado as it would be less milky and allow the espresso to shine. If you’re a coffee lover or passionate about learning more, this is the right place. It’s a small space decorated with plants

Premium coffee in an unassuming location. Roasts are on the lighter side (more to my taste) and the coffee much less acidic than some other shops. Staff seem to be knowledgeable there. You aren't here for vibes or ambience, just for a meticulously made brew. Prices can vary based on the beans you choose, can range from $5 to $15 for a pourover

Yuan Coffee is a great spot in Vancouver, especially if you’re into exploring something different — they have a unique selection of beans from Asian roasteries that you don’t often see elsewhere. I ordered a pour-over with a Colombia El Paraíso Red Plum Thermal Shock Washed Castillo. It was good overall, though a little underwhelming compared to expectations. That said, the service was excellent and the atmosphere is really welcoming — definitely a place worth visiting if you enjoy specialty coffee.

Superb coffee experience for coffee enthusiasts and one of the best in Vancouver. I wish there were more cafés like this. One of the few places that carry coffee from roasters in Taiwan and Korea. Many unique offerings on the menu. Baristas are knowledgeable and help you find the bean for your drink style or try something new.

Yuans drink is top notch! I did Hojicha today and it’s great. Boy, there’s so much origin coffee bean variety to choose from from dark to light. They also have a good matcha. Highly recommend. Note that they don’t sell any food here, no cookies, no pastries. Purely just an amazing coffee, matcha, and hojicha.

Very quaint and unique coffee place. I was recommended by a coffee fanatic to come here and I will say they specialize more in lighter-medium/light roasts. I got their latte and it was very pleasant and tea-like. I wish I would’ve tried it as a pour over or drip vs latte. Light notes and clean body. Fry on the mouth though ( but I think that was the coffee bean’s intention). Very kind baristas and seemed very knowledgeable. If you like light roasts, pourovers, drips, definitely visit.

One of the best option for specialty coffee. Doesn't have the interior and the comfort of prototype coffee which in my opinion is the best right now in Vancouver. However, this arguably have the best taste and variety for specialty coffee alone.
